Former Albanian police officer arrested with drugs
A former police officer was arrested in flagrance with drugs Wednesday night in capital Tirana.
The 49-years-old Gjergji Gjinaj was arrested with one kilogram of cocaine in his car at Vellazen Huta Street in capital.
Gjinaj is suspected that together with Ismail Allushi, 49 –years-old and Armond Kurti, 42-years-old, working as specialist at the Regional Directorate of Road Transport Services, are part of a drug trafficking and selling network in Tirana.
Police is searching for Armond Kurti, who escaped police when Gjinaj was arrested.
Later on Wednesday, police forces seized 12 grams of heroine and 6 750 euros during the searches at the houses of Gjinaj and Allushi./tvklan.al
