Albanian man caught with £4.9 million of cocaine
An Albanian man has been arrested after £4.9 million worth of cocaine plus £250,000 in cash was discovered at an address in Essex, reports EssexLive.
Mark Gorini, 25, was arrested when he was found in possession of false Italian identification documents at a petrol station on High Road, Buckhurst Hill, on Wednesday, September 27.
He was later charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
When officers from the joint National Crime Agency and Metropolitan Police Service Organised Crime Partnership searched the car that Mr Gorini was driving, two one-kilo blocks of cocaine were found concealed in the boot.
Officers also discovered a further 47 kilograms of cocaine, a cash counting machine and paraphernalia linked to the large onward supply of class A drugs at a property linked to Gorini in Queens Road.
The 25-year-old has been charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine, possession of false documents, money laundering and driving with no insurance.
He has been remanded in custody until his next hearing./tvklan.al
