Lu’s declaration/ React Socialist MP Taulant Balla
Taulant Balla is the first member of the ruling majority to react related to the statement by Ambassador Donald Lu, which made strong declarations about organized crime in Albania.
Socialist Parliamentary Group Chairman chose to speak about a clear plan that the government is expected to implement in the coming weeks to crack down on criminal groups.

Balla did not even comment on Democrats’ request to the Prosecution to verify the decriminalization form for the Socialist MP Gjetan Gjetani and PDIU Aqif Rakipi, as according to him the law will be applied to any of the elected.
“There is no question whether to support or not the law is the same for everyone. We have conducted our investigations but there is also a second phase of investigation that is after the election of MPs.”
At the session on Thursday, the establishment of the bipartisan commission for electoral reform will be approved. Balla says the majority and the opposition will have an equal number of members, implying that the two opposition parties will be represented within the agreed number that will be left to the minority in the commission.
At the Conference of Presidents held during Wednesday morning, the Socialists have also proposed the adoption by all Deputies of the Code of Ethics, although the rights and obligations of the elected are set out in the Constitution and in the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly.
