DP-SP consensus on setting up HCP and HCJ
Although they consider the process of selecting candidates for HCP politically corrupt, the opposition has decided to be part of the establishment of these two bodies through their vote when they approve Ad Hoc Subcommittee.
Its participation in the establishment of these two institutions is seen by the opposition as an opportunity to stop the majority during the selection of candidates from what DP calls “hampering justice”.
“If we did not participate, it would be easier for us to hamper justice institutions”,
Democrat MP Eduart Halili said.
What concerns Democrats in this process are the criteria of some of the candidates in the race, which according to them have been negatively evaluated by the International Monitoring Operation.
With the setting up of the HCP and the HCJ, the path to forming the SSCC (Special Structure against Corruption and Crime) will be opened, which will investigate corruption at the highest levels of politics./tvklan.al
