“Only over our dead body”, Former PM Berisha speaks on maritime boundary agreement
Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has stated that Rama’s government agreement with Greece on the maritime boundary, first “has to pass over the dead bodies” of Democrat MPs.
In a statement for the reporters outside the Parliament Assembly, Berisha stated that Prime Minister Edi Rama should be transparent on this deal, and 12 miles of the sea cannot be given away to Greece. The former prime minister stressed that the area has large quantities of gas throughout the Mediterranean.
“He excluded the head of the parliamentary group to extinct thunderously because he has done the worst act in the history of this country, has given Albania’s maritime border to Greece, in which Greece’s Foreign Minister says they have won the 12-mile expansion .Edi Rama has handed over the largest Mediterranean gas fields. According to our agreement, these areas belonged 100 % to Albania. This agreement “has to pass over our dead bodies” first. Edi Rama has to think twice before concluding this agreement”,
