Ambassador Lu: Politicians are afraid, I do not trust them
After the failure of political parties to elect by consensus the HJC and HCP members, the Ambassador of the United States of America, Donald Lu, reacted on Facebook. The US diplomat says all the left and right politicians are afraid of justice reform.
Ambassador Lu said that the changes in the Constitution had foreseen this case, the selection of members of the HJC of the HCP, if the political parties did not elect them by consensus.
“Politicians on the right and the left are afraid of the judicial reform. Don’t focus on the bad news that politicians again failed to work together to select members of the KLGJ and KLP. Focus on the good news that the Constitution predicted this and it selected members by random today. Honestly, I have more faith in random selection, than in selection by politicians. Judicial reform takes another step forward”. Ambassador Donald Lu said.
