Police Vetting, Xhafaj welcomes the adoption of the draft law
Minister of Interior Affairs, Fatmir Xhafaj, welcomed the adoption of the draft law on police vetting. In a Twitter post, Xhafaj expressed his gratitude to all those which gave the green light to this bill.
“The law on vetting got the green light from the Assembly. I thank all those who supported and worked for this initiative. Thanks to the Socialist colleagues for their vote PRO. Thanks to those opposition colleagues who contributed to this process by understanding their political vote”.
“Gratitude to my collaborators who worked for this very important project for local and international partners. I would like to thank the State Police that has strongly supported this initiative and contributed to it”.
Further Minister says,
“another new page will be opened up for reforming the police. Vetting will radically change that. The way is long and not easy. But we are on the way. Implementing the law, in the service of citizens”./
