An estimated $ 3 mln robbed from local Bank’s van
An estimated $ 3 million were robbed Thursday from a local Bank’s van in Albanian capital Tirana.
The van was transporting the money of an Albanian bank toward Rinas International Airport when it was robbed, despite being accompanied by private security forces. Later on the day, Albanian police arrested five private security forces who were accompanying the money. The event took place at midday on Thursday, in the street that links Tirana with International Airport. Two cars used by the robbers were found in fire minutes later, some kilometers away. This is the third spectacular money robbery in the region during last two years, including the case when the money was robbed inside the International Airport while it was being loaded to airplane. /tvklan.al
