Drug trafficking/11 police officers under investigation, 3 excluded
11 police officers in Vlora are under disciplinary investigation. They are accused of allegedly skipping their duty on preventing cannabis cultivation. Three others, are excluded from State Police.
The data was made known by the Vlora National Police Director, Gentian Shehaj, during a meeting with local government structures addressing the issue of preventing drug cultivation.
Vlora is considered one of the most problematic areas in terms of cultivating and trafficking of narcotic plants. Police Director gives figures, according to which cannabis cultivation has undergone significant reductions in 2017.
