Drugs smuggled from Albania to Italy, 15 arrested
Italian authorities have arrested 15 persons as a result of an investigation launched a year ago, leading to the destruction of two criminal groups, specialized in drug trafficking from Albania.
The arrest orders were executed this morning on Brindisi, Oria, Fasano and Catania. According to the Italian media, huge amounts of marijuana have been seized during the investigation, while 4 drug traffickers have been arrested.
“The investigations kicked off in February 2017 and ended in August. Thanks to them, the two groups who trafficked drugs coming from Albania were caught. During this time 800 kilograms of marijuana were seized and 4 traffickers were arrested in flagrante”,

The arrested, whose identity is not yet disclosed, are accused of some offenses such as drug smuggling, extortion and possession of weapons./tvklan.al
