Earthquake of 5.1 magnitude shakes Albania
A 5.1 magnitude earthquake hit Albania on Saturday afternoon.
According to the European-Mediterranean Center of Seismology, the earthquake epicenter was 38 kilometers northeast of Tirana and 10 kilometers east of Burrel, at a depth of 10 kilometers.
Strong swings were felt in Burrel, Bulqiza, Peshkopi, Tirana, Shkodra, Lezha, Kukës, Elbasan, Korça and many other cities.
The earthquake has also been felt in the Republic of Macedonia, Kosovo and Montenegro.
Fortunately there are no casualties or injured people reported. The Civil Emergency Headquarters reported that 67 injured apartments in total were damaged in some areas. Thus in Klos municipality are counted 12 damaged dwellings, in Mat 8 flats and in Bulqize 47 damaged flats.
