High Court collapsed
Artan Broci is the fifth High Court member discharged by the Independent Qualification Committee. He did not appear in the hall to hear the decision, but dispersed a response to the media, calling the members of IQC “the prime minister’s political commissars”. Broci said that the only test that had not passed was the submission to certain issues and that of the Chairman of the Council of Appointments in Justice.
Broci’s dismissal from office has put the Supreme Court in collapse, which cannot work as it has remained with four members. All trials that require 5 judges.
Broci’s dismissal may have collapsed and another body of the justice system, the Appointment Council of Justice, where he is chairman.
But today, the commission has held three hearings with Serious Crimes Judge Dritan Hallunaj, Trial Judge Artur Malaj and Serious Crimes Prosecutor Gentian Osmanaj./tvklan.al
