INTERPOL in Tirana/Çako warns frontal war against criminality

The General Director of State Police Haki Çako said Wednesday that State Police must strengthen the fight against organized crime and particularally the fight against people trafficking. This statement, was made by State Police Director during the INTERPOL Regional Conference, for investigating the people trafficking in the Balkans.

Irregular migration and human beings trafficking  have  been on focus of the fight on the structures of the Albanian Police, to prevent them as very dangerous phenomena, and to fight with all legal means people involved in these criminal activities.

According to Çako, INTERPOL  has a special role in this fight. He also emphasized the role Albania has in this war.

“Albania geographical position urges us not only to strengthen the war against organized crime and any other form of illicit activity but also to synchronize the work with region’s police organizations and the partner countries in accordance with western standards.”

INTERPOL’s regional conference on anti-smuggling investigations is supported by the US State Department, while officers from regional police structures are also involved./tvklan.al
