Lu demands arrests: Politicians and prosecutors, where are the results?
The US ambassador has addressed a question to politicians, police and prosecutors which, according to him, have promised Albanian people and internationals for arrests of the “big fishes” which have ties with crime and corruption.
“To the Politicians, Police, and Prosecutors: You made promises to the Albanian people and to us. We invested the resources to help you fight organized crime and corruption. Where are your results? The Albanian people want an end to impunity. The international community wants concrete results before big decisions this spring. Tick-tock”.
In a speech at the beginning of November, Ambassador Lu said that in early 2018, the US and other international partners expect the arrest of “big fishes”./tvklan.al
