Interior Minister Fatmir Xhafaj received the President of the National Anti-Corruption Authority in Italy, Raffaele Cantone. Xhafaj informed the interlocutor about the Ministry of Interior’s political document, the recent reforms being undertaken at the State Police in the framework of Police Vetting and Community Policing, where he highlighted the assistance of the European Mission PAMECA.
He recognized the progress and results of the “Power of Law” operation. The interior minister also stopped at the presentation of the Vetting Police initiative, through which the organization’s goal is to grow, and employees to be promoted.
The head of the Anti corruption Authority in Italy underlined the importance of coordinating judicial reform and reforming the State Police. He praised the quality of the legislation being implemented in Albania and expressed his readiness to increase the level of cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, especially for measures following the implementation of the Vetting process, to provide preventive mechanisms and guarantee integrity regarding the future of law enforcement employees./tvklan.al
