Following the resignation of SIS director, former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has also reacted. Through a post on social networks, Berisha writes that Visho Ajazi Lika was forced to resign due to Prime Minister Rama’s brother links with drugs, trafficking, crime and gangs.

According to the former PM, the resignation SIS director comes at the peak of the implications scandal of Saimir Tahiri, as the main member of the Habilaj gang  and the prosecution’s blockade by Prime Minister Rama.

Berisha says this proves the Prime Minister’s fear from the documents that the Intelligence Service could hand over to the Serious Crimes Prosecution about the Tahiri issue, but also to Rama himself, who according to him has been accidentally tapped.

Berisha says that the information available to SIS include wiretapping of Prime Minister Rama speaking with traffickers and other affairs related to Premier’s brother.

“Resignation is a right of every official. But this resignation, at the height of the implication scandal of Saimir Tahiri, as a major member of the Habilaj gang, and blocking the prosecution from Rama, attests to the horror of Rama from the pertinent documents that the Intelligence Service could file at the Trial Prosecution Office for Tahiri but also for Rama himself”./
