Tragedy in Vlora/ 8 people shot dead by their relative
Eight people, including two children, members of the same family, have been killed by their relative in Selenica, Vlora. The shocking event took place around 18.00 in the Resulaj village.
Ridvan Zykaj, 24, had confessed to shooting cousins and other family members with a Kalashnikov gun.
The victims are the two brothers Azem Zykaj 45, Besim Zykaj 43, their wives Aferdita Zykaj 42, Vasilika Zykaj 42, their parents Demir Zykaj 75, Perije Zykaj 72 and the chidren Sara Zykaj ,16 and Ledion Zykaj 8 years old.
After committing the crime, Ridvan Zykaj left the scene and was allegedly hiding in the highlands of the village of Resulaj. It is suspected that the motive of this massacre is a property dispute.
Numerous police forces in the Vlora Police Directorate, the Rapid Intervention Force, as well as two state police helicopters are engaged for capturing a 24-year-old armed with two weapons that is considered extremely dangerous./tvklan.al
