US offers FBI assistance to contribute on Tahiri’s issue
The United States has expressed their willingness to offer their expertise through FBI prosecutors on high-level corruption investigative issues, one of which is where former Interior Minister Saimir Tahiri is involved. The news was confirmed for TV Klan by the US Embassy in Tirana.
This issue seems to have been discussed during the meeting that the Interior Minister had with afternoon with two ambassadors, Donald Lu and Romana Vlahutin.
According to the US Embassy, these issues require a full investigation and an impartial legal process, and the US offers their support to assist the Albanian prosecution body with its FBI experts.
The sources from the embassy announce that they continue to pay close attention to judicial proceedings for Emiliano Shullazi or Lulzim Berisha and three Durrës Appeal judges.
