Xhafaj and Marku united against crime
The Ministry of Interior and the General Prosecutor’s Office have signed a cooperation agreement focusing on the fight against organized crime. The agreement was signed in the General Prosecutor’s Office by Minister Fatmir Xhafaj and Chief Prosecutor Arta Marku.
The agreement is focused on the fight against narcotics, money laundering, corruption and confiscation of organized crime assets. According to the agreement, the General Prosecutor’s Office undertakes to create special temporary sections in the Serious Crimes Prosecution Office in Tirana, Durres, Elbasan, Shkodra, Fier, Korça, Gjirokastra and Lezha.
Meanwhile, the Ministry will provide all the tools and the necessary personnel to help the prosecutors and their families when life is threatened and will work closely with them in order to strike criminal groups./tvklan.al
